AI is not replacing jobs — here's which careers will grow because of it

'Will AI take my job?' is the most common question we hear from parents in 2026. The honest answer is: it depends entirely on which job.

Careers where AI makes the work faster but the human judgement call still matters — AI/ML engineering itself, cybersecurity, data science, healthcare technology, FinTech — are hiring faster than ever. These are co-pilot roles, and co-pilots are in demand.

Careers that were already shrinking are shrinking faster — routine translation, basic customer support, rote accounting. If your course sits here, be honest about it.

Most careers sit in a messy middle. Digital marketing, business analytics, supply chain, project management. The work is changing shape but the employment is still there, often with higher salaries for the people who can use the tools well.

The question to ask about any course isn't 'is this safe from AI?' It's 'does this course teach me to do AI-augmented work?' If yes, hiring is up. If no, pick another course.
