Germany vs UK vs Ireland: which country suits your career best?

The UK, Germany, and Ireland are the three most-asked-about destinations we see. They're often treated as interchangeable. They aren't.

Germany suits engineering, supply chain, automotive, AI/ML, and renewables. Tuition at public universities is near-free. English-taught Master's programmes are real and plentiful. The Blue Card is a genuine PR pathway if your salary crosses the threshold.

The UK suits FinTech, Business Analytics, Psychology, Creative Industries, and Data Science. Tuition is high but the 2-year Graduate Visa still works. Salaries are strong at entry but grow slower than US peers.

Ireland suits FinTech, Business Analytics, Pharma, and Tech operations. Every major US tech and pharma company has European HQ there. English-speaking, 2-year stay-back, straightforward Critical Skills route.

If you can't say in one sentence which career you're building, pick the country first and you'll regret it. If you can — the country picks itself.
